Lucia is a Swedish tradition that honors Saint Lucy, a symbol of light in the winter darkness. The procession is led by a person dressed in white with a crown of candles, accompanied by songs that bring warmth and hope during the darkest time of the year.
Uppsala Cathedral’s Girls’ Choir and Collegium Cantorum, accompanied by harpist Stina Hellberg Agback, will present a beautiful program. Conductors for the concert are Linnéa Sjöberg, Margareta Raab, and Robert Bennesh.
