Gustavianum presents an exhibition featuring works by Bruno Liljefors, one of Sweden’s most significant wildlife and nature painters. Thanks to two major donations, Gustavianum now holds the largest collection of Liljefors’ works in the country. The exhibition showcases the artist’s most important themes – from the rolling pine-clad landscapes and wetlands of Uppland to the rocky coastline and rich birdlife of the archipelago. It also includes examples of Liljefors’ winter scenes, depicting hares in snow-covered landscapes.
