SciFest is Uppsala University and SLU’s major science festival – a vibrant meeting place for the whole family, where research turns into play, discovery and wow moments. Every year, thousands of curious visitors gather at Fyrishov to experiment, explore and be inspired by everything under the sun.
Here, in just a few minutes, you can go from programming LEGO robots and conducting chemistry experiments to reflecting on urban planning or waste sorting. Things bubble, bang and move. The air is buzzing with energy and the pure joy of discovery.
But SciFest is about more than experiments and demonstrations. It is a chance to meet the researchers themselves. Listen to their stories, ask questions and gain a unique insight into how knowledge is created. The festival programme spans the full breadth of scientific fields – from language, religion and medicine to nature and technology.
