Marketing and Communications
Destination Uppsala’s marketing & communications department has overall responsibility for the company’s communication and works on the external marketing of the Uppsala brand. The department is responsible for Uppsala Tourist Information.
Meeting and events
Meetings and events are an important part of creating the Uppsala brand and contribute to enhance the city’s attractiveness. Uppsala Convention Bureau (UCB) works to attract and recruit conventions, conferences and sporting events to Uppsala.
Uppsala Convention Bureau offers free and professional advice to you as a meeting or sporting event organizer in Uppsala. We help you find the best alternatives for your specific event, ensure that capacity is available and make provisional bookings for accommodation, banqueting and meeting premises.
Destination Uppsala also possesses great knowledge of project management. Some examples of assignments are Uppsala Culture Night, Bandyfinalen and Uppsala Light Festival. We also project manage the World Class Uppsala network, which distributes financial support and grants to organizers and initiators who have an event or conference that puts Uppsala on the map, or an initiative that clearly contributes to actual improvements in society.
