Floorball is one of Uppsala’s most popular sports, especially among children and youth. Most floorball games are held at IFU Arena, Uppsala’s largest sports complex, which spans 30,000 square meters and houses multiple halls for floorball (and athletics). The main hall, with a capacity of 3,000 spectators, is where Swedish champions Storvreta IBK face off against local rivals IK Sirius IBK. IFU Arena is also one of the venues for the Storvreta Cup, the world’s largest floorball tournament, which attracts around 750 junior teams each year.
If you pass by the athletics hall, keep an eye on the pole vault pit—you might just catch a glimpse of world champion Armand Duplantis, who competes for Upsala IF Athletics. The arena also hosts the reoccurring Mondo Classics, a pole vault competition where the world’s best vaulters gather in a show-like atmosphere.
Next to IFU Arena is also Uppsala’s new outdoor athletics stadium, which will host the Swedish Athletics Championships in 2026.
