Here, beloved characters from the books come to life — Peter-No-Tail, Molly Cream-Nose, Mean Mike, and Bill & Bull. You’ll also spot iconic locations like Old-Maja’s cathedral tower, Batong’s office, and Råttström’s bakery. One thing’s for sure: your kids won’t want to leave!

During summer, you can also enjoy a treat at Peter-No-Tail’s Café.

Peek Inside Peter & Molly’s Home

In Uppsala, city planning isn’t just for people and cars. Just a stone’s throw from Peter-No-Tail’s playground, at the intersection of Övre Slottsgatan and Drottninggatan, you’ll find Sweden’s only pedestrian crossing for cats.

A block away, on Åsgränd, there’s another tribute to Peter-No-Tail, but you’ll need a sharp eye to spot it. In a small basement window tucked into the wall, curious kids can peek into the cozy home of Peter and Molly Cream-Nose.

Peter-No-Tail has moved into Påvel Snickares Gränd. Here, artist Charlie Granberg has painted a striking 15-meter-tall mural of Peter-No-Tail and Molly Cream-Nose in a modern style.

Treat Yourself to Peter & Molly’s Pastries

No adventure in Peter-No-Tail’s hometown is complete without something sweet. And these pastries from Centralkonditoriet are sweet in every sense of the word! The classic Swedish so-called princess cakes are crafted in the shape of Peter-No-Tail and Molly Cream-Nose.

Located at Vretgränd 16, Centralkonditoriet is Uppsala’s oldest bakery still in operation. It’s also one of the city’s smallest cafés, so seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. When the weather allows, there’s additional outdoor seating in the sidewalk of this quaint street.

Bring the Stories Home

When visiting Peter’s hometown, it is of course tempting to bring a Peter-themed souvenir home. The children’s books about Peter-No-Tail can be foundat well-stocked bookstores such as Akademibokhandeln on the Main Square (Stora torget) or Läslusen on Drottninggatan. Versions in English might be trickier to come by, but try your luck and swing by the citys world renowned bookshop – Uppsala English Bookshop.

Peter-No-Tail at Furuvik

Hop on the train from Uppsala and step off right outside the gates of Furuvik, the zoo and amusement park where Peter-No-Tail and his friends await! Enjoy the Peter-No-Tail stage show — a lively children’s theater performance filled with music, singing, and dancing at the Lilla Scen. Wander through the park and bump into Peter and his friends as they stroll around. Don’t forget to visit Molly Cream-Nose’s candy shop for some sweet treats, and set off on a fun and tricky treasure hunt designed for kids.
