Uppsala Chamber Orchestra opens its concert season with a programme that pairs Romantic masterworks with contemporary orchestral music. Internationally acclaimed pianist Kate Liu makes her first appearance with the orchestra, performing Frédéric Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2. The concert also features Nixus by Cecilia Damström and concludes with Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3, Scottish. The orchestra is conducted by Ruth Reinhardt, and a pre-concert introduction is offered before the performance.
