Svartbäcksgatan a.k.a. ”Gågatan”

Widely recognized as Uppsala’s natural heartbeat when it comes to shopping, Svartbäcksgatan, more colloquially known as “the pedestrian street,” is the perfect starting point. If you’re into interior design and DIY, you definitely shouldn’t miss the store Søstrene Grene in S:t Per Mall. Here, you’ll find beautiful interior details at fair prices, but also materials for those who prefer to create themselves – whether it’s painting, crocheting, or crafting.

Forumkvarteret - the latest trends or vintage favorites

The well-stocked department store Åhlens is a silver-colored, futuristic 4-story building housing fashion and interior design. It’s located next to Forumkvarteret. where you’ll find beauty stores like Rituals and The Body Shop under the same roof as trendy clothing stores VOLT, Carlings, and Bikbok. And make sur to pay a visit to Beyond Retro, offering “handpicked pre-loved fashion”. Since its inception in London in 2002, they have curated vintage and secondhand items according to current trends, perfect for those who want a personal style while shopping sustainably.

Even the most seasoned fashionista needs to recharge their energy reserves. In Svava Food Mall, there’s something for every taste and budget. Try one of Uppsala’s best burgers at Tugg, or swing by Zocalo, Uppsala’s answer to Chipotle, for a hearty burrito.
