Biotopia Uppsala

älg-på-biotopia-destination-uppsala

In the beautiful Vasaparken lies Biotopia, an exciting interactive museum where you, your children, and grandchildren can discover and experience nature together. The museum serves as a gateway to the natural world of Uppland and features a permanent exhibition about the region’s geological origins, with dioramas displaying hundreds of Swedish animals in authentically recreated landscapes.

Here you’ll find, among other things, an Uppland lake, a coastal shoreline, and various forest habitats with animals typical of these environments.

On Biotopia’s ground floor you’ll find Café SystraMi – a charming café in the heart of Vasaparken serving homemade soups, lunches, and classic Swedish fika. Everything is baked on site – from soft, fragrant cinnamon buns to freshly made waffles – and the menu caters to both adults and children. Settle down in the lush park surroundings or take your lunch and fika to enjoy outdoors.
