An exciting theater

Welcome to Uppsala’s own theatre. The theatre is located on Kungsgatan and puts on around 50 performances a year on four stages for a total audience of close to 70,000. Uppsala City Theatre offers something for everyone, both modern and classical drama and engaging children’s and young people’s theatre and bolder initiatives of kinds not tried before.

The theatre building is a hive of activity. It has a café, a restaurant and an art gallery. At the Theatre Café you can have a cup of coffee and eat vegetarian, organic and fair trade food. Before and after performances, you can also visit the Theatre Bar, where food and drink are available.

It is also possible to take a guided tour behind the scenes. The building also has premises offering fantastic possibilities for conferences, exciting customer events or product launches.
