Her journey began at the age of 12 with a blog, a DSLR camera and three readers (“basically mum, dad and a friend”). Since then, things have taken off – from blogging to YouTube, and on to Instagram and TikTok. Her Instagram now boasts over 150,000 followers.

Josefine blends everyday reflections with inspiring recipes, workout motivation and glimpses into life as a creator. She takes her followers along on runs by the Fyris River, breakfast at home in the kitchen, and drinks out on the town. One recurring theme is the closeness of Uppsala – how easy it is to walk everywhere, meet spontaneously and enjoy the city without any fuss. It’s a place where you can still breathe.

– The best thing about Uppsala is that you can walk everywhere, while still having plenty to choose from! You can discover new things just by strolling around.

Much of Josefine’s content revolves around food experiences. Her passion for food started when she moved out on her own – and quickly became a creative outlet. The recipes she shares are often simple yet impressive, always with the aim to inspire without feeling complicated or difficult. A pasta dish with fresh herbs, a new cocktail with strawberry and mango, or a breakfast tip from a local café – all captured in a visual style that almost makes you want to taste the screen…

When it’s time for fika, Josefine’s coffee breaks often take her beyond the city centre. Her absolute favourites are closer to her home in Sala Backe – and definitely worth the walk.

At Bageri Brantingstorg, a charming classic with family roots dating back to the 1960s, you’re met with a delightful blend of nostalgia and modern flair. The viral lemon tart or a pistachio bun with Nutella are just a few of the goodies behind the retro exterior.

Another favourite is Leijon – the patisserie named after Frida Leijon, one of Sweden’s most acclaimed pastry chefs and the creator of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia’s wedding cake. Two perfect examples of how Uppsala has more to offer than you might expect!

If a pre-dinner drink tempts you, opt for cava sangria at Iberico’s riverside patio or a cocktail at Bacán’s rooftop bar, with panoramic views of the city.
