Theatre that gets under your skin at Uppsala Stadsteater

The legendary story of Bonnie and Clyde comes to life at Uppsala City Theatre in a high-energy musical filled with passion, drama and powerful emotions. Follow the infamous couple from Depression-era America as they dream of a bigger life—only to be drawn ever deeper into a world of crime.

With powerful music, intense scenes and a story that continues to captivate audiences, this is a musical that truly moves. Perfect for anyone looking to experience an evening of both thrilling excitement and grand stage performance.

Step straight into Macbeth’s world. Dark, fate-laden, and as relevant as ever. A production that smells of blood, lust for power, and Scottish mist – yet speaks unmistakably about us, here and now.

Some performances are more than entertainment. They have a purpose. Vi är Orlando is one of them. A collective memorial and an act of resistance at the same time. The story of the events at the Pulse nightclub in Florida has been transformed into a powerful stage work filled with light, grief, and togetherness.

And in the midst of it all – Pappa är död. A dark comedy where family ties, arguments, and misplaced inherited glasses are given space. It’s messy, funny, and sometimes almost too close. Just like life itself.

Musicals, magic, and grand stage experiences

Some evenings stay with you forever – and a few of them will undoubtedly unfold on stage in Uppsala this spring. Like when Jesus Christ Superstar takes the stage at Uppsala Konsert & Kongress in all its grandeur. For those who want more glitter than gospel, Joe Labero’s A Magic Night is the obvious choice. An evening where logic takes a break and anything seems possible.British-Irish star comedian Jimmy Carr is back on tour, and this summer he visits Uppsala Konsert & Kongress with his show Laughs Funny. Carr is known around the world for his lightning-fast jokes, razor-sharp one-liners and his trademark dark humour – a style that both surprises and sparks laughter.

Unexpected and unique stage experiences

For a few intense days, Uppsala is filled with spontaneous performing arts as SWIMP – Sweden International Improv Festival – takes over Reginateatern. Improvisers from around the world come together to create theatre in the moment, entirely without a script. Every performance is unique and shaped in interaction with the audience, meaning no two evenings are ever the same.
