At Hospitalträdgården in Ulleråker, you’ll find one of Uppsala’s most charming places to play boule. This green neighbourhood park is located about two kilometres from the city centre, a pleasant walk along the Fyris River. During summer evenings, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. At Frick & Hagberg’s food truck, you can enjoy something from the grill or bar and rent equioment to play boule. If the courts are occupied, there’s also cornhole and table tennis to enjoy. As evening falls and the lights in the trees are switched on, the setting becomes especially cosy. Summer square at Fyristorg

During the summer season, Fyristorg transforms into a vibrant summer square filled with flowers, outdoor seating and activities in the heart of Uppsala. There is a boule court and a Piffl locker where you can borrow equipment free of charge via the Piffl app. In addition to boule, you can also try games such as Mölkky and cornhole, and enjoy the nearby restaurants and ice cream kiosk.

At Hotel Botanika’s leafy courtyard, you can play boule with views overlooking Linnaeus Garden. During the summer, it’s a popular meeting place where you can combine a game with something to eat or drink in a relaxed setting. If you’d like to play regardless of the weather, Uppsala Boule Hall is a reliable choice. With 16 bookable indoor courts, it welcomes families, groups of friends, associations and companies all year round. Boule balls are available to borrow on site, and courts can be booked in advance to secure your playing time.

The Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden may not be the first place that comes to mind for boule, but the wide gravel paths around Linneanum are ideal for a spontaneous game in beautiful surroundings. During the summer, Upsala Petanque Club also plays matches here, giving visitors the chance to watch experienced players from the comfort of a picnic blanket. If you don’t have your own boule balls, you can borrow equipment free of charge through Fritidsbanken or one of the city’s Piffl lockers.

The City Garden (Stadsträdgården)

Stadsträdgården is one of Uppsala’s most popular parks and offers plenty of open space for summer games and activities. While there is no dedicated boule court, many visitors enjoy playing boule, kubb or badminton on the park’s gravel areas and lawns. Pack a picnic and combine your game with a wonderful day by the Fyris River.

Rosendal Activity Park
