The Wine Bar at Kvarteret Rosendal

Kvarteret is the kind of place everyone wishes they had near their home. Located in the trendy area of Rosendal, this is a destination for sustainable shopping as well as their café and the delightful wine bar. The wine selection primarily consists of honest wines from small European producers – and there are always at least a couple of Swedish wines available by the glass. Sommelier Hasse specializes in our own wine country and also runs Svenska Hantverksdrycker. You can also order delicious snacks, such as pizzas, and cheeses and charcuterie brought from the neighboring shop.

Domtrappkällaren

Nestled in one of Uppsala’s oldest remaining building lies the restaurant Domtrappkällaren, which offers perhaps the city’s most extensive wine list. In the old cellar vaults, highly sought-after vintage wines mingle with well-crafted everyday wines. The focus here is on classic styles and old world regions. Here, you can just as easily pop in for a few glasses, a handful of oysters paired with somke bubbly, or a full evening out with dinner. The extensive wine list features many trendy wines from France, making it a perfect place to explore new flavors and gain some new knowledge. La Ruelle isn’t just a favorite among Uppsala residents, but has also been recognized as one of the top 40 favorite restaurants among Swedish chefs.
