Welcome to Uppsala’s very own theatre. In the theatre building on Kungsgatan, around 500 performances are staged each year across four different stages, drawing a total audience of nearly 70,000 people. Uppsala City Theatre offers something for everyone – from modern and classical productions to captivating performances for children and young people, as well as bolder ventures into the untried.

The theatre house is a place alive with activity. Here you’ll find a café, a restaurant and a gallery. At the Theatre Café you can enjoy coffee, pastries and vegetarian, organic and fair-trade meals. Before and after performances, you can also visit the Theatre Bar, where food and drinks are served.

There are opportunities to join guided backstage tours. The building also houses versatile spaces ideal for successful conferences, exciting client events or product launches.
