The Uppsala International Literary Festival is a platform for literature, dialogue and the exchange of ideas. Over four days, writers, poets and intellectuals from around the world gather to explore the role of literature in contemporary society. This year’s theme, courage and mobilisation, addresses freedom of expression, human rights and artistic responsibility in a Europe marked by growing polarisation. The programme includes readings, conversations and musical performances, with a special focus on poetry as a force for reflection and resistance, as well as a dedicated programme for young audiences.
