GEOPSYCHE is a meditative film work by artist Saara Ekström, exploring the deep connections between Earth’s inner forces and human bodies and memories. The three-part film captures volcanic eruptions, caves, geological strata, and fossils, alongside museum collections that preserve traces of life and time. Through black-and-white imagery and repetitive soundscapes, Earth’s ancient history is interwoven with human existence. The 23-minute film, shown in a loop, was recorded in Spain, Iceland, Finland, and Sweden, and is now part of Uppsala Art Museum’s collection. Free admission.
