Uppsala Big Band welcomes the legendary Janis Siegel for an unforgettable evening at Parksnäckan. Known as one of the founding members of The Manhattan Transfer, Siegel has been a trailblazer in vocal jazz and pop music for over five decades. With 22 studio albums and 10 Grammy Awards, her dynamic and versatile voice became a hallmark of the group. She also contributed to many of their arrangements, including the Grammy-winning “Birdland”. As a solo artist, Siegel has released over a dozen albums and worked with icons like Bobby McFerrin and Jon Hendricks. Now, she joins forces with Uppsala Big Band and pianist Mattias Nilsson for a night of jazz and musical brilliance.
