Sofia Karlsson, one of Sweden’s most acclaimed folk singers, brings her new album A Song for Selma to Parksnäckan. Known for her ability to interpret literary texts, she blends traditional folk music with contemporary influences in a heartfelt tribute to Selma Lagerlöf.
Since her breakthrough with Svarta Ballader in 2005, Karlsson has redefined the Swedish folk genre, collaborating internationally and exploring new musical expressions. In her latest project, she and lyricist Johan Salberg have adapted and set Lagerlöf’s texts to music, creating a poetic and deeply moving experience.
