Åke Pallarp (1933–2013) was a playful yet analytical artist whose work spanned painting, sculpture, and architecture. This retrospective exhibition at Bror Hjorth’s House showcases a broad selection of his pieces, using everyday materials like wood and stone, and featuring folk-inspired motifs in vibrant colors and bold forms. Pallarp is perhaps best known for his design of Stockholm’s Stadion metro station, created together with Enno Hallek in 1973. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with Pallarp’s family and lenders.
Bror Hjorth’s House is a colorful museum located in the former home and studio of artist Bror Hjorth.
