During November and December, several Christmas markets are held in and around Uppsala, each with its own profile and opportunities to fill the Christmas stocking with gifts or simply to get into the Christmas spirit. Here you will find a selection of all the Christmas markets taking place.

Ulva Christmas Market Ignite the Christmas spirit in your heart at Ulva’s cozy Christmas market! Enjoy beautiful choir singing during the day and an exciting fire show as darkness falls. Ulva’s homemade mulled wine is also available for purchase. Eat well, enjoy the atmosphere, and shop for unique crafts for your loved ones. Enrich your senses with sparkling Christmas decorations, the sound of happy children, and the taste of gingerbread. Pony rides and face painting are popular recurring features during Ulva’s markets.

Lions Christmas Market in Björklinge Come and kick off Christmas with Lions Björklinge! A traditional cozy Christmas market at Björklinge local heritage museum with many stalls, craftsmen, and school classes. Pony rides, lotteries, and the sale of goats, wreaths, Santas, crafts, and much more. Also, enjoy coffee, mulled wine, hot dogs, and homemade bread. The local heritage museum will, of course, be open during the specified time.

Heavenly Celebration in Advent – Christmas Market and Exhibition in Linnésalen at Linneanum, Botanical Garden
The Linnaean gardens offer flowers, crafts, and a Santa walk for both young and old. This year, they also expand the market outdoors. Welcome to be inspired! The Botanical Garden invites sellers and artisans to the magnificent Linnésalen and the area around Linneanum. They present quality goods. Flower arrangements frame and create a Christmas atmosphere. For young and old, there is an exciting new Santa walk in the small coniferous forest north of Linneanum. In the orangery, Halmbocken returns with its beautiful figures, and Uppsalalyktor!

Storvreta Christmas Market
Time for Storvreta’s traditional Christmas market! Here, you can enjoy a cup of hot mulled wine and a gingerbread cookie while shopping for locally produced delicacies and crafts from local exhibitors. Perhaps you’ll also take the opportunity to buy a locally produced, organic, and freshly cut Christmas tree? Inside the café, homemade pastries are sold, and skilled troubadours play at 11:30 and 12:30. The choir Joyful Noise, led by Martin Svensson, offers Christmas spirit at 1:00, and musician Gerd leads us in a sing-along when the Christmas tree is lit at 2:30. For children, there is a fishing pond, face painting, and free indoor crafting, and at 2:45, Santa arrives with a small bag of candy for all children. All the congregation’s proceeds go to Act Svenska kyrkans julinsamling.

The traditional Christmas bazaar at Valsätra Church is spread out this year inside the church, the barn, and outdoors with a chocolate wheel and lotteries, the sale of crafts, wreaths, pastries, and more. The scout troop offers activities indoors and outdoors, and both snacks and meals are available for purchase.
Equmenia Gamla Uppsala’s Christmas Market

Historical Christmas Market at Gamla Uppsala Museum
At Gamla Uppsala Museum, they invite you to a historical Christmas market with 10–15 participants selling their goods and spreading delightful vibes both inside the museum and outdoors among fires and lights. There will be blacksmithing, jewelry, armor, ceramics, glass beads, wood carving, and leather, wool, and food crafts for sale. Santa will also make an appearance, and there will also be book signings with some secret guests. On this day, admission to the museum is free, and there is a 15% discount on everything in the museum shop.
Christmas Market in Kopphagen, Länna
Welcome to Länna Byalag’s traditional Christmas market with a Lucia procession in Kopphagen! There will be the sale of crafts, Christmas music, mulled wine, Christmas treats, and grilled sausages/burgers. Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere, shop for Christmas gifts, meet neighbors and friends, eat and have coffee.
Ateljeföreningen Hospitalet’s Christmas Market
Welcome to Ateljeföreningen Hospitalet’s Christmas market and open studios! Come to Hospitalet and find unique Christmas gifts, enjoy coffee, and visit the studios. Those who work here are artists, musicians, writers, illustrators, performing artists, translators, photographers, and will sell art, books, records, prints, Christmas cards and labels, Christmas decorations, and other nice things. 10/12 Christmas Market at Salsta Castle
On the second Sunday of Advent, the traditional Christmas market takes place at the new stable, organized by Wattholma Cultural and Heritage Association, this year with small offshoots in the castle. The castle is open with the opportunity to see the exhibition of chairs from the 17th century and early 18th century that Carl Fredrik Holtermann currently has at Salsta. Presentation of the exhibition at 1:00 pm. No pre-registration is required.
Scouts’ Christmas Market
The scouts in Nåntuna and Sunnersta traditionally hold their Christmas market at Sunnersta Church on the second Sunday of Advent.
Gamla Uppsala Hembygdsförening’s Christmas Market
The Christmas market takes place on the plot at Kaplansgården, located at Groaplan in Gamla Uppsala. Handicrafts, pastries, pickles, mistletoe, etc. Lotteries with handicrafts, Christmas hams, Christmas tables, etc. Schools and football teams from the local area have sales. Coffee service and hot dogs. Activities also in and around the church.

Vänge Hembygdsförening organizes a festive Christmas market in Ekeby village. Come and buy Christmas gifts and Christmas treats or just enjoy the beautiful winter environment!
